Ricardo E. Morales Speaks on Post-Production Royalty Disputes

On March 26, 2020, Mr. Ricardo E. Morales, Partner with Person, Mohrer, Morales, Boddy, Garcia & Gutierrez, PLLC presented his paper at the University of Texas 46th Annual Ernest E. Smith Oil, Gas & Mineral Law Institute.  His paper included an analysis of recent cases dealing with the proper payment of oil and gas royalties and a discussion of common royalty payment disputes including royalty obligations for flared gas, vented gas, transportation & fractionation fees (T&F), downstream commingling, skim oil and oil contract price deductions.  Ricardo is a frequent speaker on complex oil and gas disputes and this marks the second time he has been asked to speak at the Institute.  His paper is available here.
